1. At least one calender month in advance
We recommend that you terminate the tenancy agreement 3 months' in advance. This increases the likelihood that a new resident will be known when you leave. You can coordinate matters and arrange takeover with the new resident.
The notice period is at least 1 full calendar month. This means that there must be at least 1 full calendar month between the day you give notice and the actual termination. For example, do you file a lease termination notice on April 4? Then the earliest the lease can be terminated is June 1. The full calendar month in this example is the month of May.
There cannot be more than 3 calendar months between the filing of the notice and the actual termination of the lease. In the example of filing a lease termination notice on April 4, the actual termination is no later than August 1. In this example, the three calendar months are the months of May, June, July.
5. Final settlement
You will receive a departure note from us on which the final invoice is stated. Outstanding amounts are always settled with the final settlement. The latter applies to any agreed reimbursements for Self-Employed Provisions (ZAV). And also for the settlement of costs if the house has not been delivered as agreed.
